INDIVIDUALS SUPPORT
You may benefit from seeing me if you struggle with anxiety and depression, insomnia, relationships and identity issues, or if you are suffering through grief and loss. I have significant experience working with women at any stage during fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum setting, as well as parents who have lost a child or experienced a loss at any stage of pregnancy.
Sometimes loss comes in the form of expectations not being realized; we can explore this together as well and hopefully help you come to a place of acceptance and healing about the reality of your current experience.
I am experienced working with all ages, races, genders, and sexual orientations (LGBTQIA).
PLANT SPIRIT/SOCIAL DIETA
“A dieta is a way to concentrate, refine and purify personal energies—to achieve mastery over all actions, thoughts and words, to refine one’s life essence until it becomes piercing and true…in the framework of traditional Amazonian medicine adhering to a dieta primarily carries the goal of preparing oneself to commune with spiritual energies.” Jonathan Miller Weisberger
It has been said that working with non-psychoactive plants in the tradition of Amazonian medicine is more transformational that any psychedelic work. When people feel traditional psychotherapy is not for them, or they would like to work with plant medicine as an adjunct to support their psychotherapy, the plant spirit initiation, or social dieta, is an excellent container for personal exploration, growth and change. It is not for everyone, as many find the restrictions challenging.
After completing a multi-year apprenticeship with Francisca Santibanez, I have been invited to facilitate plant spirit initiations/social dietas for others. I have dieted lemon balm, tobacco, rose, guayusa, la planta de vida, rosemary, tulsi and pscilocybin. I work from a mestizo framework and am also influenced by the Shipibo-Conibo ways of working with master plants. Forever a student, I am grateful for every opportunity to work with master plant teachers and their human guardians.
